NORTH AUBURN, Placer County — North Auburn residents had an opportunity to discuss future land-use policies and community planning at a September 1, 2026 local advisory meeting devoted in part to the Placer 2050 General Plan Update.
Placer County’s official North Auburn Municipal Advisory Council archive identifies the meeting as a North Auburn Community Forum and Municipal Advisory Council session, with agenda topics including community plans and land use.
What is the council’s role?
According to the county’s MAC description, council members are local residents or stakeholders appointed by the Board of Supervisors to advise on planning and other issues within their geographic jurisdiction. The advisory council is not a separate city government, and its discussion does not itself amend the county’s zoning regulations.
What else was discussed in 2026?
The county’s agenda center lists other North Auburn public meetings in January, March, May and October. Topics have included specific development proposals, bridge work, zoning amendments and broader community concerns. Residents should check each actual agenda and supporting documentation rather than presume every proposal was approved.
For a particular land parcel, use the county’s current adopted General Plan and zoning maps and request confirmation from planning staff. Long-term studies are not substitutes for an issued building permit.
